I have no picks from 3004-3006. I have 3 players who are decent (one is 33 making 20 mil for the next 3 years and declining).
My thought process was to add young players keep Drew and not worry about my picks. With that trade I added 3 young assets and got rid of Frazier. I would finish maybe in the 7-12 range this year, take a PG (Need to replace Foots), then try to win with my young core of random PG/Drew/Barker/Wright/Dawkins. That's not a bad team, especially moving forward at least I thought so.
If I were to trade Foots for two of my picks (Pelicans own two and Magic one) then I'd still have to tank, hoping for players like Dawkins/Wright/Barker.
If I keep Foots/Frazier my team is hopelessly mediocre with no way to improve and an aging Frazier. The season that I'd get my own pick back Foots would be 31, Drew 29.
Figured I'd give my justification for this trade, carry on belittling me.

Sucks for Bruns. Should let it go through and let RW dig his own grave. Not big on vetos.

Ian touched on this earlier but I thought the "Trade back in 60 days" thing is not allowed you must keep the player the entire season

point me to where other people are calling these players elite Foots isn't elite yet... But with points pumped into him I think he can be. I personally have a offer in for him and I think I may pull it after looking closer at his numbers and the system I run. I personally thought this deal was very lopsided and I have had better deals veto'd so no issue with Odin coming down on this. I actually like a commish who wont let one sided deals go down like this.

He still traded 2 elite players for none with no picks involved Dawkins contract is just as woof imo I want to get rid of Frazier, you know how many people pm'ed me about him? Zero. He's 33, shooting poorly, and signed to 20 mil+ over the next three years. Frazier has no value to me. You're right I had no picks involved, for a reason. Picks sound good on paper but when they turn into 20 because the team I trade Foots to is gonna be good it makes picks useless. Instead I get a lotto pick from last year who went +3, Soup's excerpt from rookie TC "Exciting TC for Bulls rookie Wright. Gm Bruns has to like what he sees with a +1 bump in defense and a +2 bump in rebounding." I also get C who the GM of the Hawks gave up 3 1st's last season and a PF who dil called the best available PF.
