MacLean is regarded as an intriguing prospect due to his combination of size and shooting ability. He was a very consistent scorer during his 4 years at UCLA.  He has range that extends just inside the three point line.  He tends to float on the perimeter looking to spot up for jumpers rather than banging down low with physical defenders.   He is only an average athlete and rebounder.
