Cassell is a solid all around player who doesn't have many flaws in his game. He's got good range, and a decent jumper, and has some ability to get to the basket and create on his own. Defensively he gets a good amount of steals and is pretty quick, he's got good size so larger point guards won't bother him much. In order to excel as a point guard, he's got to become a better passer and turn it over less. His role in college was that of a scorer, but he might struggle in that role as a pro, so adapting his game to the professional ranks will be a task.
