Going to look the lotto and do a re-draft since tc was ran . Once again doing this on my phone so there may be grammatical errors
1.Toronto Raptors - -
Chris Webber C 6'9'' 255 20 A- C- C+ A- B+ A
I've got pete sticking with Webber here as of now he's clearly the best rookie and can be inserted into the starting lineup day 1. There were a couple other possible players you could throw in here , but Webber started with stacked grades and went +2. Probably the highest ceiling of the group.
2. Miami Heat -
Anfernee Hardaway PG 6'7'' 195 22 B B- A- B C A
Continuing with the trend I stuck with Canes original choice. Had a solid TC at +3. This appears to be the class of the pg early on. But unlike the others he's got something you can't ever develop and that's size. Bigger pg tend to be more dominant so that's good for canes moving forward.
3. Seattle Supersonics -
Vin Baker C 6'11'' 280 22 B+ C- D B+ A- B
This is as far as we will get sticking with original picks. Vin went +3 this tc and looks very similar to Webber. I think for now he'll be a little better than Webber. He probably has a little Dejuan Blair in him.he's got more size than Webber as well. I just don't think his potential is quite as high so I'd roll Webber in the long run. Great pick here though.
4. Houston Rockets -
Lil Penny PG 5'3'' 145 20 B- A- A- B+ D+ A
First real "miss" if you will at #4. Unfortunately it's Dil again. He's a novelty guy but went +4 overall and +5 on key areas. So he's bop available for a team who needs some talent infusion. His ceiling may not be superstar level with his size but his floor can only be so low with these grades.
5. Oklahoma City Thunder (from Bulls)
Bobby Hurley PG 6'0'' 185 22 C+ B+ A- B D+ A
The biggest mover on the list thus far up from spot 12. Had the best TC at +6 and looks like a potential star in the making. I suspect soup tweaked him because of Erics known hate of white players. I'm not convinced Rose is the future at pg for the Thunder and his only longterm weakness is at PG imo. Case could be made for him at #4 as well.
6. Atlanta Hawks - -
Devin Lonc SG 6'6'' 210 21 B- A- B- C+ C A
I don't even know what a Devin Lonc is but he had a good tc at +3. Could argue for Luther or Nve here but I went with the wing. He's likely a +3 or 5 away on inside from regaining his B inside which gives him near elite scoring grades for a rookie player. There is some gamble on taking a software guy this early but he's shown promise and will have time to develop for user duc
7. Oklahoma City Thunder -
Luther Wright C 7'2'' 330 22 A- C- C- A- B- B
If you could argue there is another position the Thunder are lacking longterm it would be downlow. He's got brand but I'm not sure about the others future promise. In Luther he adds a big who had great grades going into tc. Then Went +4. Of the scoring bigs in this draft he's got the most size. And like any drag queen will tell you size matters. Another great original pick by user dumptime.
8. Vancouver Grizzlies
Nick Van Exel PG 6'1'' 180 22 B- B B- B+ C- A
The Grizzlies are probably the most underperforming teams looking back at last year. They have bigs for days and promise on the wing. What they are lacking like alot of teams is a long term option at pg. They get the other booming pg in tc. Nick went +5 so he's off the a great start. He's probably a couple years away but things could be good in Vancouver.
9. Milwaukee Bucks
Shawn Bradley C 7'6'' 285 21 B C- D A- B- B
I'm going with the biggest flop thus far in the draft went -2 overall and -1 pot so it's risky. Has elite size so he should still grab boards at a decent rate. Looks early on he may have somewhat of a limited ceiling but could be productive none the less for a team lacking a true center.
10. Charlotte Hornets -
Lindsey Hunter PG 6'2'' 180 23 B- B B+ B+ D+ B
Continuing the trend of teams that need a future pg. I was high on green in the past but it looks like he's not going to cut it. You could the pg cupboard for the Hornets is baron. Anyway this team has solid bigs, An offensive sf that shows promise. They could also use youth at the 2 but I went with the sure thing in Hunter. He went +4 and like Van Exel could be a force in a couple years.
11. Portland Trailblazers -
Gheorghe Muresan C 7'7'' 320 22 C D+ D+ A- A A
This pick probably makes the most sense for Majic. His original pick wasn't bad but this fits a clear need. I'm surprised he didn't go this way in the first place. He lacks starting caliber bigs and is trying to compete. Gheorge is an instant plug and play guy instantly making his team better.
12. Boston Celtics
Jamal Mashburn SF 6'8'' 240 21 B B- C+ B C+ B
Dump had Hurley here so whomever he selects it's a downgrade. I have him taking Mashburn. Mash has fallen from his original selection at #5 but to no fault of his. He went +4 this tc there are just that many other impact guys in this draft. Dump needs a longterm guy at pg and sg. Mash may work at sg and there really aren't any pg's worth it here imo. So he's going bpo.
13. Toronto Raptors (from Suns) - -
Calbert Cheaney SG 6'7'' 210 22 B- B C B- C B
Lynch was the original selection here and like Lynch , Cheaney didn't show a ton of tc promise. The Raptors already have longterm options at pg ,sf, and C. They could use a younger sg or Pf and I don't see any knockout options at Pf so I went with Cheaney who l
