Tyra is the premiere post defender in this class, his length and shot blocking ability make him a difference maker around the rim. He’s a plus rebounder because of his tenacity and strength. Tyra does have some skill on offense, but is often a reluctant shooter that prefers to do all the dirty work. He has good court vision and is very good at finding open teammates from the high post. He has strong handles for a big which allow him to sometimes run the break. Does not go to the line often but does shoot free throws well for a big man. Tyra should make an instant impact with his defense and rebounding. He should be a late lotto or mid-first round pick.
