Newell is an unreal talent that has the potential to become a prolific scorer in the league. At just 19, he’s already one of the best shooters in this draft. He’s an excellent free throw shooter and has three point range. He's capable of finishing inside over bigger players, but most of his point will come on jump shots. He has very slick handles, often making it look like the ball is on a string. His height will hurt him as a rebounder; can’t expect him to grab more than 3 or 4 boards a night. Defensively, he has very quick hands and should be good at forcing TOs. He may struggle to defend taller or stronger point guards. Newell could end up being the best player in this draft and should the first point guard chosen.
