Hey so I realized I had a column in the wrong place last year, so ignore the 3029 thread. I also went ahead with my plan to take out opponent TOR for the reasons stated in that thread so that's even more reason.
Here are the 3030 values for defense by team by position, first by tenths of z score and then by rank:
And here are the correct values for 3029, and I encourage you to look back through your DCs and see how your players have changed if at all:
For example, Steph Templeton and Doug Overton were full time starters for me both years. In 3029 Steph was a plus defender (#7) and Doug was average (#16), in 3030 Steph was a plus defender (#2 albeit at a different position) and Doug was average (#12). Pretty good! Here are the All-Defense teams for each year:
It's a little concerning how much change there is year over year (Lockhart the only repeat name), but in a lot of cases it makes sense. Steph Curry was injured half the year in 3029, Elton Brand went from 2 bpg in 3029 to 3.5 in 3030, and so on.
