Zach Randolph 20 PF/C 6'9 260 Michigan State B C- C- C+ B+ AThe 20 year old showed promise as a low post scorer during his lone season at Michigan State. Randolph is a below the rim scorer that uses his tremendous touch to be effective. He showed a solid shooting stroke in the mid-range game and from the free throw line. He has the potential to extend the range on his jumper to 15-18 feet at the next level. He’s is a volume rebounder on both ends of the floor, his long wingspan compensates for his lack of elite athleticism. Defensively, he needs to play with better effort to be an effective post defender, often allows his man to get position too easily. He won’t block too many shots and can’t be relied upon to be a rim protector. Randolph has plenty of room to improve, but with his high upside as a scorer he should go in the top 10 picks.
