Williams dominated inferior competition while at Portland State. He is an incredible scorer that can create his own shot anytime he wants in the midrange game. He’s a good finisher at the rim and has no problem getting into the lane with his great first step and quickness. He has a silky smooth stroke and quick release on his jumper; he should be able to become a good shooter from three point range.  Only an average defender, Williams needs to play with better focus as he sometimes gets lost on rotations and finding his man in transition. He’s not the type of player that will get too many steals. He’s only an average rebounder for a shooting guard. Williams has the potential to be one of the better two guards in the league if he can improve his defense. At worst he’s expected to be an instant offense type of player off the bench.
