Cheeks is an interesting point guard prospect out of West Texas A&M. Some scouts feel the he has the ability to be the best perimeter defender in this draft due to his athletic ability and elite quickness. They also believe he will routinely be among the league leaders for steals. Offensively, he is a better distributor than scorer. Cheeks has very good court vision and takes good care of the ball, he should have a high assist to turnover ratio. He likely won’t be huge scorer, but his jumper is good enough to make defenses respect him from the outside. Cheeks could be an all-star if his offense catches up to his defense.
