The polls have closed and the election has failed. TimPig lost the vote 2 yes votes to 5 no votes. The votes were as follows. Delap - Yes Druce - No JHB - No Majic - No Odin - No by abstention SPL - No Tim - Yes Odin has been replaced in the game by FectaDEEZWith the election failing, the election tracker moves to one. Two more failed elections in a row and a Russian policy will by rule be enacted. Druce is party leader. He may nominate anyone for election as President except Delap. Delap was party leader last round and is ineligible due to term limits. Because TimPig was not elected, he is not term limited and may be nominated again. Druce, please nominate a candidate for President. After Druce has nominated a candidate, each player should PM me a "yes" or a "no" vote on Druce's candidate. In the meantime, feel free to discuss the results of the failed election. |

What policies are enacted when they are in government. Eventually the President will be able to look at a player's passport to determine whether they are Russian or American. That's really the only way to be sure. |

Good news everyone, we have a government!
Majic was elected by a vote of 4 yeses and 3 nos.
The votes broke down as follows:
Delap - No
Druce - Yes
JHB - No
Majic - Yes
Fecta - Yes
SPL - No
Tim - Yes
Druce and Majic have formed a government.
As party leader, Druce will be given 3 potential policies and will discard one of the three. Majic will be presented with the remaining two and choose which policy to enact.
Both may share the policies they received and the policy they discarded. Caution: they may be lying. Neither is permitted to use any part of the PM I sent (or will send) to "prove" that they received the policies they allege to have received. They may only say something like, "I got three Russian policies and no American policies, don't hold it against me!"

We have to use these first couple elections and policy enactments to determine which side each individual is on, and use that to influence how we act later.
