I don't really understand why so many people are against tanking. It's been going on for 50 sim seasons. There will always be really good teams and really bad teams, it's not the fault of the league that certain teams make their rosters completely void of talent to the point where it takes them years to rebuild. An unweighted lottery just adds more luck into the league and I'm not sure that necessary.

People against a reformed lottery system were also probably against the Civil Rights Movement

I'm fine with whatever is chosen.
Still think the league would benefit if we get rid of the players that make tanking too easy but that hasn't gone over well.

I am against the 13 team unweighted lotto. Think it will have large negative affects on the league. If we are going to base draft pick off your record, I think we need to leave it how it is. I am in favor of removing the incentive to tank altogether, but if we aren't going to do that, I prefer the set up we have now to a 13 team unweighted lottery. Of course the guy that tanks for barkley wants to remove tanking

I still have not seen one good argument that makes me think tanking is a bad thing...nobody is giving up a elite al-star for nothing. ..changing to this unweighted lotto bs just makes the league more top heavy.

if odin thinks this will change people from giving away good players I don't think so. ..it will be more about shedding your cap to try and sign the next big fish in FA.

I'm not arguing that tanking isn't a good idea with the current system, it obviously is. That is why teams do it. That is why I have done it. I want to remove the incentive to lose on purpose.

Why? What is the point? Just BECAUSE you say you want something done also means you have to have an argument why it would be better.

I've absorbed all the competitive bs talk for two days..it's irrelevant with your stupid wheel. Let's just forget about the bottom tier teams and keep the playoff teams wealthy by giving them a chance at a top 10 pick that they can trade for more talent. ..that will make the league more active and competitive.

I do find it funny that the 4 most vocal for change have convienently landed Barkley, Cousins, Wall, and King in the last few drafts.

It's not like tanking is even a proven method of getting better immediately. Unweighted lotto/unweighted 29 team draft just adds more and more luck. So many people already bitch about software luck so let's just keep piling it all on

I don't think many people are in support of a 29 team unweighted lotto. I am not, as MJ said, it is way too much luck and variance brought into the equation. It could screw teams over if they end up with a low 1st 5 years in a row.
That is why I prefer the Wheel as it is fair to everyone and guarantees a top 6 pick for each team every 5 years. If we can't get The Wheel which is my ideal scenario, I support sticking with our current system.

Changing to the wheel none of these trades would happen...these trades are what keeps people active imo
