20s Navidad - we talked last offseason about this change. Can we make it? Rules for SC/RC of players during the offseason: No player drafted or signed in FA that was not on your team immediately before the offseason may be given an SC or RC during the offseason. Note: these players may be upgraded like normal after TC. Players you may NOT SC/RC - players drafted that offseason - players signed in FA by a team other than the team they played for at the end of the last season For the avoidance of doubt - you may RC or SC a player if you acquire that player in the offseason via trade, and that player was on the trading team immediately before the end of the season. Example: The Nets trade Anthony Davis for Diamond Stone, a veteran under contract during the offseason. Under the current rules, the Nets cannot upgrade him until after TC. Under the proposed rule, the Nets could upgrade him during the offseason even though he wasn't on the Nets at the trade deadline. Is this rule going into effect this offseason? Because I want to take advantage of it.
