Today's update. signed up for the forum for commishes who use the software. Want to get some things clarified when it comes to the draft and creating prospects. Seems like their method is a little odd where you put in player's names and generate grades after the draft. Obviously this would be a major issue so I want to get some answers before we proceed.
Also, the software uses variable finances, aka ticket sales, etc. Want to see if it is possible to turn that feature off to keep things as simple as possible. alternative plan would be to give everyone a shit ton of money so finances never become an issue so everyone can spend to the cap at their leisure.
Nice anti-tanking thing is that the software uses player morale. so if you have numerous shitty years in a row, your players get all depressed and shit and play shitty the following year. obviously we could do some sort of dump buck reward to reset your morale to normal or something.
Another thing I really like, the client allows teams to send in a draft list for both the creation draft and yearly entry draft. so it can auto pick from everyone's submitted list.
will update again once I get my account activated on the forum

idk where my post went, but i'm 100% for creation draft for at least 10 rounds and making some sort of penalty for not sending a list. and autoing/list drafting the rest of the creation

Re-Rate (Also known as TC)
This option becomes available after a league has simulated its first season. This option enables commissioners to automatically re-rate the players in the league via the simulator.
A player's re-rate is based on the player's stats compared to other players in the league at the same position as well as the player's potential rating. Therefore, it is possible for a player with a high potential rating to receive a decrease in ratings during the re-rate if his stats are poor. There are 2 methods of rerate players: Normal rerate and Normal rerate modulate on current player rating.

What does this mean:
Normal rerate modulate on current player rating

What does this mean: Normal rerate modulate on current player rating there are two different versions of how they calculate TC/Re-rate. we would use the normal one. it is a lot simpler. and easier to project. the modulate one can have a guy put up an awesome season but not do anything in Re-Rate because of a random ass formula says he should or shouldn't get better

i actually prefer the one that uses more rng Its actually the opposite. the modulated formula takes away the impact on progression of the player's stats and says, oh, you scored 40 goals this year, but you only should have scored 10, you are only going to increase by +1 instead of +4 because your potential and scoring grade are low. so neither are really all that rng? ew

Basically what it means is EX guy scores 40 goals and his Scoring rating is 40. He will likely get a max possible boost to his scoring, while a guy who scores 60 goals but already has 95 scoring will only get a minimal boost. It basically attempts to curb grade inflation and make it harder to get better, the better your player gets. I apologize for the different answers. This is a brand new software and I am learning in bits and pieces because I don't have the time to spend hours at a time learning

You can give someone else my spot, I won't have time for this and it would be unfair to my Kings team to split my time. Unlike you other double dippers, I am committed to my TMBSL franchise. #dedication

I have been told that OOTP's hockey software was extremely lacking. but if you guys want to give it a shot. we can try it I'm just saying it's a good fall back option. I played a demo version of the OOTP and I didn't find it lacking. But again I'm not looking for a game I need 30 hours of schooling to play
