Congrats to GM Ank on having a devastating inside scoring duo for at least three seasons! While I have a little concern that Wilkins will be a prospect with high jumping because of his notoriety as a dunker, I think it's just as likely that he will be made in the image of last year's top four picks and be a huge asset for the Suns. I don't envy the Pacific GMs who may have to game plan for the Shaq-Wilkins combo. Yikes.

GM Bruns will continue his rebuild by snagging the best available wing on the board to pair with Jimmy Jackson. This gives Bruns a nice 1-2 scoring punch on the wing to pair with his defensive anchor in Rudy Gobert. He's got a nice core coming together and should be competitive sooner rather than later.

While I think Mikan and Thompson are better prospects, I think Shaun takes the opportunity to grab the best point guard in this draft. With a few good TCs and some TLC from Shaun, he has all the makings of an all-star PG, which is probably the most important piece for any team hoping to contend in this league. That's why I think Shaun makes this pick and leaves to better prospects at positions of lesser value on the board.

This pick could go one of two ways with two very good and very similar center prospects left on the board. Mikan is the same size and grade set as Thompson, save being -1 in rebounding and +1 in potential. Being the player with the higher ceiling and the prospect with more respek on his name, I think the Knicks go Mikan with their pick. However, I think Eric leaves the draft feeling disappointed Lever is off the board one pick before him and he isn't able to add another point guard to his stable. This pick also begins a massive run on the two-way bigs that dominate this class.

Duc gets a gift and has a very promising player fall into his lap at #5. Thompson looks to have all the makings of a very successful big that can play offense and defense and will likely be a dominant force on the boards. I actually like Kanter and Vonleh (except for the TOs) and their growth with Duc has been quite surprising, but I think moving one to the bench and replacing them with Thompson in the starting lineup gives him a trio of outstanding young bigs.

At this point, I think Levingston is probably the best player available and Yawn still needs help wherever he can get it, so there's no point drafting for need.

Garnett is an interesting prospect with a high ceiling that looks like he could turn into a player at either forward position. With Taco just beginning his rebuild, I think this gives him a player he can tinker with and put some points into for a couple years while he continues to tank.

Victor's plight ends up benefiting JHB tremendously as he acquires a defensive anchor and fills the void on his roster at center. Welcome to Orlando Markieff!

RV continues his search for players to build around Julius Randle and Nick Van Exel by drafting this guy who has some upside as a scorer. RV already has two SG prospects on his roster but one (KCP) doesn't shoot enough despite being efficient and the other (Harold Miner) shoots just a bit too much for how inefficient he is. RV adds another prospect into the fold to compete for that spot. I think Cummings and Kellogg are still better prospects at this point, but it doesn't make much sense for RV to take another PF unless he's ready to unload Randle for a king's bounty.
Let's hope he is before he ruins another bright career.

With Bruns now set at the 2 and 3 and a young center like Gobert in whom he's invested, I think Bruns takes the BPA Terry Cummings (Cummings? Like Cummings Cummings?). This now gives him prospects from the 2-5 and the ability to sign a point travesty like Matthew Jacobson and tank one more year for some additional talent.

Duc seems to be invested in trying to make his young wings like Bennett, Sprewell, and Crabbe work, and honestly there isn't much talent left to choose from on the wing anyways. With him set at PG with Lil Penny, I think he takes another big with potential to play both ways in Kellogg.

Yawn again goes with best player available and hopes it will be his point guard. Sleepy has a very balanced starting gradeset and could be a solid starter with a few good TC's and some RC and SC love.

There's not much left to pick from at this point. There are a couple defensive bigs and a few "all-scoring/no D" type wings available, but I think GBG goes with the player with the most upside left on the board and takes Pressey. Pressey needs some definite work on his scoring grades, but with C+ handling has the potential to become a PG with great size and could be the potential heir apparent to Cousy in OKC, giving him plenty of time to work on his scoring before he is pushed into action.
