Just watched the episode late last night. Fucking amazing. The music, which Fason posted above, during the Sept/Keep scene was outstanding.
Can someone explain why all the children were involved?
Arya killing Walder may be my favorite scene in the entire show. I was NOT expecting that this soon, and I was literally pounding the bed saying "YES YES YES!" when she was pulling the face off.
Tyrion being hand of the queen. Jon being King of the North. Bran seeing R+L=J. Cersei blowing up the Sept. Varys proving he is loyal to Dany. Sansa telling LF to suck her motherfucking dick. That episode was just incredible.

Also I'm pretty sure the Maester Pycelle was known for diddling little kids but I'm probably wrong

That episode was just incredible. The little kids are all around King's Landing to provide "whispers" or secrets to Qyburn. They were originally used by Varys to get him his information, but Qyburn has taken over as Master of Whispers for Cercei. In the books spoiler
In the books the little birdies are revealed when Varys has them kill Kevan Lannister, who Varys gets rid of because he is doing too good a job as hand of the king fixing all the messes that Cercei has created. Cercei has hated Pycelle for awhile, and he has been kind of smuggy this year since he had Tommen's ear more than Cercei did. I guess she though incineration was too clean and quick of a death for him.

When I finally saw the wildfire crypt, I was the most excited. That scene was all about the score. Someone deserves an Emmy for that scene.

Yeah I wouldn't mind that director for every episode. Same guy who did Hardhome and battle of the bastards as well.

I bet they are saving him for season 8 which probably will feature a lot of the North/White Walkers
him and the director of the Red Wedding were the big snubs for season 7

I mean is he the best director? Or did he get the best parts of the story lines?
Chicken or the egg situation.

I read that he realized part of the way through shooting that the way he wanted to write it was going to take to long; so he thought of the smothering/trampling of Jon scene on the fly. Maybe he is the best, idk.

yeah to me it looked like Peter was giving Sansa a "I told you so " and "are you thinking what I'm thinking" look But he didn't tell her so... He infact said the opposite. He told her his dream was to sit on throne with her as Queen of the North and Him King. He said that the North wouldn't follow a bastard and she needed to take the role as Queen. Yet the North united around Jon. Rewatch the scene. Its starts with the members talking and the leader of the Vale says they refuse to fight with wildings. Jon stands up and makes the case for them and it cuts to Littlefinger with a pfft look on his face. Jon goes on to warn the families about the real war and how it's coming and Littlefinger is looking around getting a gauge on the room. That bad ass Lyanna of Mormont stands up and makes a case for rails against the group. Sansa smiles when she says the King of the North with be a Stark and then goes stone faced (more on this in a bit) when she says its Jon. Wyman Manderly gets up and calls Jon Snow the White Wolf (fuck yeah) and pledges his allegiance. They pan to littlefinger who has a "of fuck me" look on his face. As the group chants "the king of the north" Jon stands up and looks to Sansa and she looks up with a glowing smile. Her smile quickly fades when she see's littlefinger "meh" look on his face. To me her reaction isn't one of jealousy but one of knowing how evil Littlefinger is and seeing his unimpressed reaction instantly makes her feel uneasy for what Jon has ahead of himself. www.moviefone.com/2016/07/04/game-of-thrones-finale-explain-sansa-littlefinger-look/
