He's been doing fine as draft master, but in this case I think this is pretty bullshit. He made a player that appears poised to lead the league in scoring and be all-defense out of the gates and set it up so that he'll either be guaranteed to sign with the Knicks in 4 years or give some big discount to dil.

I vote for trial by combat. Eric has been practicing his CMAN at guild night for years. Don't fall for his feint, Dil.

So looks like it's time to get rid of 0/0/0 players again.

So looks like it's time to get rid of 0/0/0 players again. And Create/Design a Player once and for all

And looks like we need to self cap at least PGs starting shot blocking ratings.

Here are my thoughts.
1. Jesse Epstein's attributes match his profile and grades, just like every other prospect I've ever made. 2. Picking greed, loyalty, and hometown is part of the create a prospect reward. 3. Everything I know about attributes and free agency in general has been posted publicly. 4. I also made a post about Jesse Epstein in particular detailing how my knowledge went into his creation and what the consequences were going to be.
I don't think there can be dispute on any of these points, but if someone would like to I will be happy to read it. Until then let us take these points for granted: where is the outrage coming from? Any one of you (with 25,000 dump bucks) can do the exact same thing, you have the exact same knowledge. What power specifically am I abusing? I understand that many people don't like this situation, but that doesn't mean I did something wrong. I don't like tanking and I really don't like a lot of the trades we allow to happen. What's the difference?

I simply would like to not be hated or slandered for having him on my team when I did not know that he would turn out like this. Love you guys.

Jesse is a renaissance man and likely won't want to do something he is so good at for longer than four years. That said, chances are, if Jimmy Dolan signs him, it will be as lead guitarist for the Straight Shooters. So I doubt we have anything to worry about with him going to NYK as a sim baller.

You created a cheat code player and included a cheat code to make them more likely to sign with you. You paid for it, sure, but don't act like it was common knowledge that you could make a player at 0/0/0 who would sign with their hometown team, or pretend like any other GM could or would actually design a player to be this good. There are maybe 1-2 other GMs who have ever even built a player

There are maybe 1-2 other GMs who have ever even built a player I can't speak to what is or isn't common knowledge, just what was publicly available. -On April 19th I posted in the Free Agency article that hometown for 0 greed won 100% of the time. -On April 20th I posted in the same article that I would be setting Jesse Epstein's hometown. -On April 27th I posted in the Jesse thread that he was probably going to sign with me in four years' time. -When dilworth ended up drafting Jesse I made sure to let him know in shout about the Jesse thread. What else could I have done? What else should I have done? . As to making a player, I think it's fair to say I have posted exhaustively on the effects of attributes, how they grow, how they are calculated into grades, and so on. I really don't see how anyone else couldn't have done what I did. Wouldn't is another matter, clearly, but I really believe the information is all there. I'm not actually a robot, the entire design of Jesse came from me reading and rereading the articles I posted.

But designing a player is just doing the grades and not choosing the actual attributes correct?
So only you could actually make him exactly how you did?

Correct So each time Eric tells us how we could all do this its complete BS really So basically I could spend 25k and create and design a prospect to match this guys grades and copy his profile word for word and then hope that Eric built him exactly the same

So each time Eric tells us how we could all do this its complete BS really So basically I could spend 25k and create and design a prospect to match this guys grades and copy his profile word for word and then hope that Eric built him exactly the same "sublime handle" "unstoppable midrange game" "defense is excellent" "limited athleticism" B+ B starting scoring grades. If you think there's any way a profile like that wouldn't produce an elite scorer, low turnover, elite defender, I don't know what to tell you. Would he have exactly the same numbers, I doubt it, because I design every prospect without looking at any others. Would he be substantially the same player, I'm confident he would. Here's an idea. Don't rig the fucking system I didn't code the software to make hometown so important for 0 greed 0 loyalty, nor did I create or campaign for the reward to set hometown/greed/loyalty. I don't understand what you are even accusing me of.

It was only a matter of time before everyone falls for the power handed to them.
Dil is the early benefactor and Eric could be down the road. But the entire league as a whole will suffer.
